How do I know that my privacy will be protected if I give online?
Our online forms are provided on a secure server. Christian Appalachian Project, Inc. has partnered with Go Daddy.com and Authorize.net to securely process your online credit card transaction. This transaction will appear on your credit card statement as Christian Appalachian Project. All information will be encrypted by your browser and only our secure server will be able to read your information. Information about your credit card is communicated safely and will be kept entirely confidential.

Are my donations/ purchases tax-deductible?
Yes, 20% of your total purchase minus taxes, shipping and handling is tax-deductible. Christian Appalachian Project is a 501(c)(3) organization which is qualified to receive tax-deductible donations. Any amount you donate above and beyond your purchase total with taxes, shipping and handling included is considered a 100% tax-deductible donation. Although a contribution to a charitable organization is generally deductible by individuals who itemize their deductions, an individual’s right to such deduction is subject to a variety of limitations, including the obligation to obtain an acknowledgment regarding contributions of $250 or more from the charitable organization. Christian Appalachian Project recommends that you consult with a tax professional regarding the tax deductibility of any contribution.

What if I need to cancel my transaction?
Contact us at appalachianhome@chrisapp.org and we will be happy to issue a refund to your credit card.

Who will have access to personal information after I’ve made a purchase or donation?
No one will have access to your personal information without your consent. From time to time CAP rents or exchanges its list of supporters with other trusted organizations to benefit CAP’s programs and activities. If you do not wish to participate in CAP’s list rental or exchange activities, or if you wish to modify the frequency of future communications from CAP, please write us or give us a call at 1-866-270-4227.
